How strong is an average jedi?

How powerful would they be? What can a normal jedi lift or throw?

An average Kotor jedi would be on the level of Darth Vader. Can't speak for other eras though

Master Feroda is the textbook average Jedi imo, and he wiped out several clones when pressed

It's not everything mind you, I'm sure I've missed a few things, but I feel it's a pretty good overall of sorts for the average Jedi.

There were a great deal of "average" Jedi in the ending battle of Attack of the Clones. Rob Coleman, one of the ILM employees who worked on composing the shots during the battle, gave a good insight into how the scene was filmed during the commentary track of Attack of the Clones.
So, one average Jedi is roughly equivalent to 5 B1 Battle Droids. To get a good idea of how good a B1 Battle Droid is, let's look at the commentary from The Phantom Menace:
So I'd say 5 B1 Battle Droids are easily inferior to, say, five average Rebel Troopers, Stormtroopers, bounty hunters, ect. B1 Battle Droids are basically the most pathetic of all the "faceless minions" we see in Star Wars (with the best being either a Clone Trooper or a Mandalorian). One average Jedi being roughly equal to 5 B1 Battle Droids really, really isn't that impressive.
As for how much they can lift/throw, this is a bit harder for me to nail down. I'm honestly struggling to think of what kinds of TK feats we've seen from fodder/nameless Jedi. We honestly usually don't see minor Jedi characters using the Force. At the very least, they can Force push something roughly human-sized, such as a B1 Battle Droid, as we see in Attack of the Clones. At best, I can see your typical, average Jedi maybe being able to move, say, a landspeeder with a good amount of concentration.
In the end, I'd say the average Jedi is definitely superhuman. Enhanced reflexes, leaps, senses, telekinesis, ect. But nowhere near as powerful as even the weakest of the primary characters. Five Battle Droids, or two-three thugs are typically sufficient to pose a significant challenge to a typical Jedi from what I've seen.
Rob Coleman wrote:We would animate them as little vignettes. Which means we would take one element of a Jedi, animate five droids attacking it or fighting it, and some would die, some would fall down, and some would be okay.

Rob didn't specify droid model there. Regardless other showings make it clear that B1s aren't much a threat to...well anyone.

-Dave Filoni to Scientific American. The 2003 series was very exaggerated, not just in design but in its storytelling and action. We chose to stay more in the Star Wars universe for our Jedi powers so that The Clone Wars film and TV series will hook up with the live-action movies George made before. We couldn't have a scenario where one Jedi could destroy hundreds of battle droids by himself; it was too superhuman for the drama and vulnerability that we wanted to get across.
-Dave Filoni, The Clone Wars Celebration IV Panel.George gave me a rule about the battle droids where a Jedi can take out about 20 standard battle droids, about 10-15 super battle droids, but a Jedi versus a destroyer droid is a push because of the shield -- Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan run into that. So they have to think to solve these problems to get around these droids.

When you can actually prove to me that the quote refers to combative capability let me know.
Until then, quit throwing around the argument Celeste is just an "average" Jedi Knight, cause you can't actually defend it.

Oh Yes Celeste was far more powerful than the run of the mill jedi but was called average because of her fashion sense, I agreeThe Son of Hades wrote:When you can actually prove to me that the quote refers to combative capability let me know.

Average Jedi can resist an ancient Sith lord's presence for over a hundred years yet Revan with Meetra's help was struggling for around 300 years against a distracted Vitiate and the DMs before they were imprisoned. Interesting.

And "average" can literally mean "she's just a person with no insane destiny or path to greatness". Doesn't mean she's weak or average in power at all.

Why don't you post the entire quote?
It's talking about her personality.

Clearly a Mace Windu, Yoda, Luke or Obi-Wan in personality, isn't she? This is what they meant by "a decent Jedi" with her own flaws.
Idealized? Celeste? Funny, I don't see Celeste as 'too perfect' at all. To my mind, she is a flawed character who may or may not have the internal fortitude to control or defeat Karness Muur. A decent Jedi in her time, she was thrust into an unenviable situation. Like any Jedi, she performed heroic acts, but she was also an individual who had their own life and dreams. If she did one good and heroic thing--it was to save Zayne from the clutches of the Muur Talisman, but in doing so, she did not anticipate being taken over by a Sith entity, being locked in the oubliette for 4000 years or any of the other turns her--so-called- life has taken.
It's talking about her personality.

For my JK thread, a group of Padawans fighting for a straight month and a half is a pretty good feat, they even have some impressive other feats where one sensed mines buried underground during battle, one surviving a near point blank explosion and another holding back Hailfire missiles.
Another is a Knight collapsing two buildings ontop of Malgus with The Force.
For my Dark Jedi one, a fallen Jedi Padawan dominates a large group of pirates(large enough to take an entire system) with a thoughtless display of power, he then hurls down lighting from the sky and destroys hundreds of homes.
Another is with Lycan who targets the arteries of an entire casino full of various species, killing them instantly without so much as gesturing.
There's more stuff, but you'd get a better impression reading through the threads in full to really understand everything.
